The Bachelorette Strikes Again!

I don’t know if y’all still watch The Bachelorette- Kaley!? But tonight was my first night of the new season and here’s my video response! She’s got some crazies on there..

Memorial Day = I’m Doing NOTHING!

I’ve been busy.. to say the least. Spring has sprung and I am bouncing around to birthday parties, planning work outings, and trying to keep up socially with friends. I realized the other day that I feel totally horrified to miss ANYthing I’m invited to. I mean, missing the party?? No Way! The BF said I had a problem but I just think it makes me well-rounded! ha.

So this weekend, I have absolutely NO plans and I couldn’t be happier. It’s bike week in Myrtle Beach (so I don’t mind staying in) and I have a 3 week photoshoot at work starting Tuesday. Having a 3 day weekend is going to feel so nice and a much needed rest. I’ll be planning on this…

What are your plans this weekend? You never know.. I might get bored quickly and need to make plans! hahaha

Another one bites the dust.

Roomies 4 Life.

Just kidding – I could NOT be more thrilled that my college roommate, Miss Megan Parete, is about to become Mrs. Megan Skinner this weekend. Riley and Megan have been dating since the summer after our Freshman year and seriously could not be more perfect for each other. I cannot wait to get the celebration started this evening with a kick-off karaoke party at Harold’s “Country Club” (think the Esso but in Yemassee, SC). I will consider the night a success if at least one Britney Spears song is performed by yours truly.

It is going to be such a beautiful, lowcountry, Southern wedding at Brays Island Plantation, right outside of Beaufort, SC! (Also, I’m not going to lie, I love only having to drive an hour to get there). Cheers to the future Mr. and Mrs. Riley Skinner and a fabulous weekend to celebrate them with wonderful family and friends! A wedding weekend recap post to follow next week!

Balancing Act

I’m still working to perfect my balancing act, which hasn’t left much time to post any life updates. The good news is this weekend should be a low-key one. I hope you all enjoy celebrating Mother’s Day – I’m fortunate enough to have many inspirational women in my life.

just a thought

It seems, as of late, that coffee has become a social focal point in my life.  I’ve thoroughly enjoyed sipping my coffee and basking in the quiet time before the day really starts. And coffee just naturally falls into the picture when catching up with friends — who do you know that doesn’t love a good conversation and cup of joe at your favorite local spot?

Which brings me to this post of mixing two favorites with this little blog, my lofty ambition is to share a weekly virtual cup of coffee and thought for the day with all of you. Hope you’ll enjoy… xo, Caroline
